Losing it, lost it, going, going, gone.
Update: Since this post was written, I have 2 solid offers for significant roles, and another in the pipeline that I’m hoping to get. February sucked, but March has been significantly better.
Becoming completely disheartened at the moment. I can’t even get an interview for a job, let alone a job. Its really starting to get to me.
I’m either too experienced or I’m not qualified without a university degree. FFS! I’m a Unix engineer. What the hell use is an MCSE to me? I know how to use Windows. I know how to manage Windows. I hate Windows as an engineering platform. Let me replace it with Unix/Linux machines and I’ll show you a truly efficient and capable platform.
But before I even get there, I need a job. And before I can even get that, I need an interview. And no one is offering me any because I’m too experienced but under qualified.
Some days I just want to stick a fork in my eye.
