Well folks, for a long time you’ve known that I can offer you extremely competitive prices for web hosting packages. And I’ve also provided you with the ability to register many different Top Level Domains (TLDs) and Country Code Top Level Domains (ccTLD) at extremely low prices compared with many competitors in the market. Obviously I cannot compete with the likes of GoDaddy, but we’re holding our own as it were.

On Tuesday my time, so Monday in the UK/US, I received notification that we can now offer registration of .at and .it domains immediately.

But thats not the best news.

By the end of this week, or beginning of next week, I will also be able to offer registration of .nz .jp and .nu domains as well. This is a big deal for me. Until now, you have had to buy a .nz domain from a New Zealand registrar, and then configure the DNS settings of the domain to point to the SKC Hosting domain servers. Its an extra step and you lose some control over your domain.

Not any more. You will be able to register a .nz domain and include it with your hosting package. You will be able to manage all aspects of your .nz domain from the same control panel you use to manage your web hosting, databases, email, and more.

Most importantly, the pricing will be extremely competitive when compared with existing registrars in New Zealand.

This is a big deal to me, and I will most definitely be using it as a selling point here in the New Zealand market.
