I’m sorry, but this has to be said.

ARE THE FIA SMOKING CRACK??????

Any fool knows that at this time of the year, China and most of Asia have pretty hectic weather. You’re in the start of the monsoon season for much of the tropics. Who was the dimwit that said “Lets move the Asian Grand Prix’s from September/October to April!” ???!??!??!?!??!?

I don’t know about the rest of you, but so far this season, while definitely being different, has been pretty pathetic. We’ve seen two races that resulted in only half points, and now a 3rd race where half the time the cars couldn’t even stay on the track.

Did I mention that I think starting the race with the cars following behind the Safety Car is probably the dumbest idea the FIA could ever come up with? Those cars struggle to keep heat in the breaks and tires as it is, let alone how hard it is when you dump them behind a car that can’t even go half the speed they would go on a bad day.

While I find it interesting that the races so far have been all about “the underdog” and I do acknowledge that half the teams just can’t seem to get their cars sorted out properly with the millions of new rules, so far the FIA has made some extremely stupid calls when it comes to starting these races. After what happened to Toyota, I’d support them having a formal go at the FIA… And I don’t even like Trulli as a driver! I doubt they will though.

Why are these races running so late in the day? What happened to the old days of starting at Midday local time no matter what? Why do they keep pushing the races later and later?

Some people are calling this new season exciting. Strangely enough, they’re usually those with a financial interest in the races. Personally, I find them idiotic. At least now we’re heading to Bahrain, so don’t need to worry about the rain, but heres hoping the FIA doesn’t find some other way to screw it up… Like delaying till there is a sand storm on the radar before starting the race.

I just want them to hurry up and get on to Monaco. Then I can happily tune out the rest of the season. Although, they’re back in Spa this year too. That could be interesting. Although, if the track has been fixed up, there won’t be anywhere near as many accidents as there used to be. And that was the only real reason I ever watched the Spa races ;-)

Damn I’m a tough one to please :-P

Anyway… Congrats to Red Bull, Vettel and Webber. You guys deserve it. Ian said you don’t look much like team mates during the race, but given the joke of a race, I’m glad you had fun and raced each other when it was on.

Button and Brawn… Hmmm… Something is happening here… I used to really dislike Button and Honda. Now we have Brawn and I’m finding I like the team and disliking Button less. He earned that 3rd spot. Good and proper.

Hamilton and McLaren…. HAHAHAHAHA. Heikki beat you sucker! Oooops.. Weren’t we supposed to bring that up?

Ferrari.. :-/ Come on guys. I love you, but you gotta pick up the pace. Otherwise I have to dye my beard something other than red. And the yellow of Brawn is NOT acceptable :-P

I could go on, but bed awaits. So I’m gonna hit the schedule button and post this. Reply here or on Twitter (RT the tinyurl.com link for a tweeback) if you wanna discuss it :-)
