The PC completely died tonight. The power supply I had jerry rigged to try and get some use out of it after nasty things happened a couple of weeks back finally gave up today. I got home from work, turned it on and the instant I put load on it (as in started Firefox) everything went dead.

Now there is enough power to spin fans, but the PSU itself no longer works. There isn’t enough juice to spin up the hard drives, let alone make the video card display POST messages. It doesn’t even let the computer beep out POST errors.

So, for at least the rest of the month, I am without PC. This means no games, no movies and no Knight Rider till I can afford to buy a replacement PC or at least get a loan to do so. Neither likely till at least December.
