Boring

∞ Posted at 10:37 pm

Have you ever noticed how boring the Internet actually is? I can’t remember what I used to spend my time doing on the internet, but it amazes me that I did it for so many years. I really find myself losing the desire to get online much at all anymore.

Earlier this week I tried playing Age of Conan for a while, but I just couldn’t get into it. So I tried playing Guild Wars for a while and just couldn’t get into it. So I started trawling my Google Reader feeds and crawling through the morass that is Digg.com and all the other sites out there I used to frequent. Just all boring and … meh :-/

I’ve even started posting again on mailing lists I haven’t used in years. Nothing makes me want to use the Internet. None of it makes me want to spend time online.

So if you don’t see me on Google, or if I’m quiet on this site or anywhere else, I’ve probably decided that the computer sucks and have gone and gotten busy doing something else. Something real and tangible that does more for me than have me sitting at a desk for an entire evening after spending all day sitting at a desk working.

Why? Because the internet is boring.
