So with the majority of my virtual land in SecondLife up for sale in an effort to reduce costs, I’m also looking at ways in which I can reduce other costs as well. One of which is, quite simply, my online costs in general.

So I was thinking about where my expenses are in the online world and quite frankly, the reality is that I’m spending huge amounts on domains I don’t ever use. So I’m going to start selling off domains I have registered in my name.

First to go will be backburner.co.nz and secretshopper.co.nz. Neither are being used for anything and are generally just a waste now. Originally I got backburner as part of an idea that Ian and I were thinking of working on ages ago, but that got dropped and fell away from my thoughts. SecretShopper was another idea that I had but never did anything with. I just never got around to writing the code for the project.

So they’re first to go.

I’m putting them up here first and anyone that wants to buy them may do so for $32 (the cost of buying them fresh) by contacting me through the Contact form on this blog.

However, if they’re not sold by the end of this month, I’m going to put them on Auction sites and sell them that way. Of course, doing that means my expenses go up, so the opening bid will be the cost of the domain, plus the cost of the auction listing. You get the idea.
