Assassin’s Creed 8min Gameplay Video
The more I see this game, the more I want it. Its been ages since we’ve seen a game that is truly different in its style. Bioshock introduced a whole new way of playing an existing style. It took FPS, mixed in elements of RPG but in the end it was basically a better Half Life (although we’ll see how that goes now that Episode Two is starting to trickle out.)
Instead, what we have here is a first person RPG thats not an RPG in the classic sense. In fact, its not really much of anything in the classic sense. Its a whole new property with a whole new style of game play.
And I want to play it! Yesterday! So as you can imagine, I’m a little annoyed the PC version has been delayed till next year.
Anyway… Check out this gameplay video. Its 8mins long and shows a lot of one part of one story line.
Only thing that is still concerning me is the AI in fights. But having said that, we haven’t yet seen a high level fight from nearer the end game. So far its all been lowbie stuff. Fair enough too. I wouldn’t want to give things away either. But the guys all standing around in a fight and taking turns does tend to get a little annoying for me.
I do love the way you can use NPCs as meat shields. You see it in this video when an archer is firing at the player and he grabs another guard as a shield.
Best of all, I can play this game without upgrading my PC. Not well, but at least I can play it. :-) Crysis on the other hand… :-(
