(Un)Obfuscating the regexp-fu
Some things in life are just not intended for the new user or the beginner. RegExp, ore Regular Expressions, is one of those things. The powerful syntax allows for some amazing manipulations of strings.
Because of the powerful capabilities of RegExp, a very elitest club is forming amongst those that can use and understand RegExp with ease, and those that have to sit there with a manual open to get through it. Then there is the rest of you that have absolutely no clue at all about regexp, but you’re new to the world of Linux, and would like to unlock the power of your console.
So this entry will discuss a little about regexp and introduce the basics as well as good pointers for getting started.
Nah, just kidding. Why would I tell you about regexp? Thats some seriously advanced elitest “fu”. :-P
