Okay, so I decided that even though I’ve not had any time to post anything of late, and all the posts I keep saying I’m going to do have gone out the window (well, gotten stuck as drafts I’ll never finish) I thought I’d put the first part of my new scheming online :-)

Yes, this is a complete redesign of the whole site. It will also match the whole of kinthiri.com when that is finished. Unfortunately, with the way my schedule is lately, that may take a lot longer to happen.

What is the purpose of redesigning the site?

Well, as much as I liked the old design, I’d been using it for so many years now it’d kind of become…. Meh. I put that together back when I was writing blogs manually when the only blog software that existed was the software you wrote yourself. ;-)

The other reason was that I was accused of having a boring design that lacked any colour at all. Apparently orange links don’t count ;-)

So folks, here is a new design with considerably more colour than the other one had, but still being a darkish design :-) I also am a major fan of quiet themes that are clean and relatively empty of major graphics and the like.

This design isn’t entirely mine. I borrowed considerably from another theme, and I will link to the original author soon, but I want to get everything up and running first.

As always, if you spot anything that needs majorly fixing, please let me know so I can fix it. Theres likely to be a heap of bugs and flaws on the site at the moment, so I’d definitely appreciate some feedback.

Commenting is going to stay on for now, but once I have the forum themed up and working, I’m going to skip comments in favour of using the forum.

The wiki is currently not open because I’m still working on that one as well. Once its themed I’ll probably open that up as well. But don’t expect that immediately. :-) Too much to do elsewhere. :-)
