Wheres the objectivity?
I’m as sick of the left wing bias of most media organisations as everyone else, but is Fox News really the best the right side of the aisle has to offer? Its just a conservative version of E!
I mean, Oreilly spent how many days pounding the whole “clean” comment that was made about Obama? He was still going on about it days after the other news media had dropped the subject. So instead he starts hassling NBC about their flagging ratings, which came of more like gloating than of anything positive. Now Fox News seems to be doing nothing but cover the whole Anna Nicole Smith circus, and in the quiet periods in between, they’re going on about Brittney Shears.
Come on… They may have a left wing bias, but at least you get the news from organisations like CNN International, BBC World and BSkyB.
Unfortunately, we’re not exactly flooded with choices in this country. I’ve all but given up on most media organisations. Seems the only ones left available to us in this country that do actually present as close to unbiased news as we can get here is NewstalkZB and their network. Yes, they do lean more to the right, but at least they keep to the facts.
Don’t even try to tell me TVNZ, CanWest, APN, Fairfax and the others are worth considering, they are all as opinionated as I am. No, I’m not ignoring Prime News, but they seem to just regurgitate Sky News Australia with some local stuff thrown in for kicks. Perception is everything remember? ;-)
Is there any objective news organisation available to us in New Zealand? Actually, is there any objective news organisation anywhere in the world?
