Well, its definitely more colourful than the Red and White scheme of the past few years, but…. I’m not sure I appreciate what they imply with this one. ;-) Autoblog has details of the new Honda F1 paint job for the 2007 F1 series.

3 weeks and counting!!!!!!!

Probably wouldn’t dislike this new paint job so much if Jenson Button wasn’t still sitting in the #1 car, but I guess different people have different thoughts on that. I dislike Honda simply because they have an arrogant SoB sitting in their #1 car. Dude has his head so far up his butt it still looks like its on his shoulders. Honda obviously like him. Or they just want to try and pretend that they spent their money well… Who knows.

Okay, taking out the whole Jenson Button issue, its definitely a very eye catching look. I’m not sure I like the idea of Europe being on a Japanese car though ;-) Then again, they couldn’t exactly use Japan coz that would’ve meant including China and I’m sure we all know where that would lead ;-)

What I want to know about it all though… Where are the other sponsors going to put their stickers? myearthdream.com is the only one showing up there (thus the globe scheme) and then the Bridgestone logo. In this press piece, I can’t see any other logos of any other sponsors on the car. Does this mean no more big red Lucky Strike dot will ever grace their vehicles again?

I’m looking on the HondaRacingF1.com website and they haven’t officially put any images of this paint scheme up yet. The car they’re showing off there is still all black and has a few other stickers on it. It also shows the Honda branding more instead of the myearthdream.com URL. If you read some of the rumours around, Honda’s new “main” sponsor is Google. Which could most definitely explain a lot.

I still don’t know who I’m going to be cheering on this year. I was a Schumy fan, not a Ferrari fan. His retirement has left me wandering aimlessly through the field looking for a team worth supporting. Maybe I’ll just stick with the big red machines. Kinda gotten used to cheering them on over the years. Still, it just doesn’t feel the same.
