Monstrously Expensive Habit (Meh)
Dunno if I should admit this. :-) Oh well. ;-)
Got my Visa bill for August. Sat down and went over it.
US$300 alone spent on Second Life. Well, US$295.14, but close enough ;-)
Put that in a different light, or better known as Kiwi dollars. NZ$480.03 including Visa’s “Offshore Service Margins” charges they like to stick on everything not in Kiwi Dollars. So lets just be nasty and do like the shops and round it up to NZ$500.
Hmmmm… I think I have a slight problem. That doesn’t even include the US$15 (NZ$24.18) I spent on the World of Warcraft subscription.
That would probably explain why coffee down on the waterfront has been off the menu lately. ;-)
Still, thats all about to change. I cant reduce my Second Life costs to less than US$100, thats just not possible because of my …. bah. I own a shitload of land in Second Life that I’m not willing to let go of because the leases people pay me on the land helps me buy my toys. ;-) Well, some of them anyway. Obviously not all. ;-)
Having said that though, a lot of that US$300 is land purchases. But if I were really smart, I’d just save up US$1500 and buy a big island to do with as I please. That’d only cost me US$195 a month and I could do anything I liked with it. Lease it out, sell chunks of it off or just build an absolutely uber playground for myself. :-) Or any combination of the above.
Or I could just spend less time in Second Life.
Naaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!
