And so, with the success of that script, I intend to extend it now.

New goal is to make a “portal” of types that will allow anyone that has an account on this portal, to then use my script to update to the portal, and thus update an image on their own website :-)

This shouldn’t be too hard. Essentially I’m taking the existing LSL script and modifying it to send several parameters to a web application. The application will take those parameters and create on-the-fly status images for anyone that queries for them. Very simple, very straight forward.

The hard part will be creating a front end application for people to sign up with and that they can modify aspects of the image for themselves. Things like image colours and so on. At the moment, I’m using static images. I’d also like to set the script up to offer multiple types of images. So things from a small 80×25 blog button to a nice big one like you see on this site.

Hmmmmm… The more I think about it, the more I really like the idea. :-) I think it might be time to buy another domain to host it. Not too keen on using this one, or skcservices.com.

Meh, we’ll see how it goes. Gotta make it work first. ;-) Then we’ll consider where to go with it. ;-)
