My latest addiction
No, its not Digg, although I do admit that I am finding myself more addicted to Digg than I ever have been to other news sites in the past. I spend more time on Digg than I ever spent on Slashdot. And I used to spend a lot of time on Slashdot. Anyway…
The other day I started playing this little puzzle game. Nothing special, just a logic puzzle. Connect the colours without having any of them cross over each other. Green, Yellow, Purple, Blue, Orange, Red. You have a 3D cube, 3 sides of which you can run the colours (75 squares to use total). I don’t want to call it hard, just difficult. I’ve just completed it while I’ve supposedly been typing this. I’d type something here, then think of a new path to try, then forget about typing here. ;-)
Heres the thing about this puzzle though. Rumor has it the more you do it, the more you’re exercising your brain and thus the better your brain functions at problem solving. Its kind of like boosting your intelligence. Making those synapses fire more often and with a much bigger jolt. ;-)
So while I sit here and progressively work my way through it again, I challenge all of you to have a go too. There are 30 levels to beat. To complete the box, you need to think outside it. ;-)
So go play the 3D Logic Cube Puzzle. Oh, and a slight warning. This is one of those games that will totally destroy your work day, so I suggest doing it only when you’re on a break or at lunch or actually at home. I’ve wasted a good 2 hours all up playing this thing now. You can’t save your level, so every time you close it, you gotta start from scratch again next time ;-)
