Just quickly on Dapper
May 31st
Just a quicky, but I’ll expand on it later. Ubuntu 6.06 LTS “Dapper Drake” release is absolutely brilliant and something I am very happy and proud to be using. I’ve been running it since the early testing stages (as I did with Breezy, Hoary and Warty before it) and am extremely impressed with what it…
Baby with 3 arms to lose an arm
May 31st
Found this on BoingBoing. Why do they have to cut it off? If I were that kid, I’d want to keep it. Who knows how useful it might be in 20 years time. Not to mention the Total Recall type movie roles I might get. Then again, this is China and we can’t be letting…

New Zealand aid agencies said donations have been slow to come in since the magnitude 6.3 earthquake hit densely-populated central Java on Saturday. Public slow to donate to…

I was reading this on Friday, then it got posted to Slashdot, then I forgot about it till I was searching for something in Google Desktop and it popped up from my web history in that particular search. Aimee Webber is a design guru. Possibly in real life, I don’t know for sure, but definitely…

External Firefox extension uninstaller?
May 26th
Hmmmm… I installed the Google Notebook firefox extension for the first time in this particular profile and now Firefox crashes whenever it starts to load a page. Very frustrating. Don’t like creating new profiles just because one extension is screwing things up. Why can’t someone create an external extension removal tool that doesn’t require me…
