Question Of The Day
In light of the suicide bombing in Tel Aviv through the night, the “breaking news” flash of which interrupted the program I was watching on BBC World, which area should the Israeli forces target in retelliation?
On a more serious note, given the elections are looming large and Hamas has a massive following within the Palestinian population, what chance is there for real and lasting peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians any time within at least the next decade? If the Palestinian government cannot even now control its own population and put a significant effort in to thwarting these attacks, why should anyone outside the Arab community trust them?
Indescriminant murder of innocent civilians is how Islam is being remembered. Rightly or wrongly, the people of Islam are all being tarred with this brush. Unless the majority of the Muslim people stand up and start making their voices heard loudly over that small minority that is committing these attrocities, all Muslims will find themselves being oestracised by the rest of the world.
Not just in the Middle East, but also through out Asia and Africa. All Muslim peoples need to start making real efforts towards a legitimate peace and to stamp out the fringe lunatics bent on murder, destruction and chaos.
Otherwise the US might not remain the only country accused of human rights violations by the left wing hippies.
