The Mad King is coming!!!
Over this past weekend, Guild Wars players have been in a constant state of excitement. The Mad King is returning! His living dead have taken over Lion’s Arch and he has sent scouts to Droknar’s Forge. The Tombs are a frightful state with the dead finding no rest and coming to torment us all.
The Mad King is returning!
Citizens of Lion’s Arch are in a frightful state. More and more are transformed each night as the king draws nearer. Undead wander the streams bemoaning their lost lives and youth. The lovely fountain in the middle of the town has been replaced with a Huge cauldren full of the bodies of many a fallen hero. A herald rides through Town warning all that the King is coming! Prepare yourselves he warns. For those that miss the returning of the Mad King will shall surely weep.
Indeed, woe shall those be who do not present themselves to the King. Woe and sorrow shall you feel if you do miss his return. For the mischief and trouble that shall be caused will go down in history as an event to remember long into the dark hours of the coming Winter.
But alas, while Kryta suffers the tormented humor of the Mad King, not even the Dwarfs have escaped his eye.
Droknar’s Forge, the capital of the Dwarven nation has been changed. With the coming of the Kings messengers came a change of frightening proportions. The city has been turned in to one massive cemetary. Grave stones litter the town as the Ghosts torment the tows folk.
The dwarves are lucky only in that the King is not visiting upon them the same fate as the townsfolk of Lion’s Arch. None of the Dwarven city have been changed in to the living dead. No messenger runs through the city at all hours proclaiming the coming King.
Even the skies have not escaped the coming of the Mad King. In Lion’s Arch, witches and ghouls follow the Grim Reaper as they circle the sky under the ever watchful gaze of the Jack-o-Lantern full moon in all its menacing glory.
In Droknar’s Forge, the skulls of the dead float across the sky keeping ever present watch over the city and people below.
The Mad King IS Coming!
Prepare yourselves.
